Responding to this, petroleum and natural gas minister Sandeep Puri said," The international price of fuel is determined by various factors. Currently, the price of a ton of gas on the international market is 750 dollars.
If international prices come down, cooking gas will be sold at lower prices in India too. The central government is mindful of the needs of people. We will not let the price of cooking gas increase domestically", he said.
Gas rates are revised every month by the central government. Today, the gas cylinder price is RS.1,068.50 for a 14.2 kg cylinder with subsidies.
